Another update finally

PostDateIconTuesday, 12 July 2011 09:02 | PostAuthorIconWritten by MMM | PDF Print E-mail

Well what can I say, apart from me being slack and not updating Blog for a long time, but I will try and fix that now:-

Yes people are still trying to get their lives back together after the floods & cyclones in Queensland. Queensland won the State of Origin, what else can I say about that. The Reds also had a win along with the Roar & Firebirds (hope I got those name correct). So after a very bad start to 2011, things here in Queensland are looking good, apart from:-

"The lie of all lies" - I will not bring in a Carbon Tax being said by the leader of the Greens O sorry the Labour Party and now Prime Minister Julia Gillard with the unelected PM (well he thinks he is) standing by her side Bob Brown. And this is now only July, so we can now look forward to a very interesting time ahead of us.

Ok off my soap box, I have said what I wanted to say about that lie.

MLC has been sold. I do miss it after all the work that was done. But you never know there could be something else in the pipeline.

I have already run Round 1 & 2 of the ARB XWC and preparing for Round 3 now in October. This will be held at Bendemeer NSW on a new property.

The Angel Adventure had to be called off due to several entrants being affected by the floods one way or another. So the 2012 4WD Angel Adventure is already planed and underway to be run in May 2012, hopefully the desert will be open by then.

Thanks to all behind the Mini Muster which raised much needed funds for Angel Flight Australia.

13th August I head of to Sanya, China for the 3rd China RFC, I will be acting as an Official on this trip. Mother RFC Malaysia is in December, so if all goes well, I will heading back there as an Official, getting to old to play codriver. So if there is anyone keen to put a vehicle in a container and come and have a play give me a call, I would only be too happy to help you get there.

August will also see the Australian release of the 2010 Malaysian RFC DVD. These will be available from all leading 4wd stores and direct from Xtreme 4x4 Sport.

The year is nearly gone and nearly time to get out the old Christmas tree. But until then there is still a lot of water to flow under the bridge and plenty of things to see & do.

That is all for now. Take care out there.

Cheers

David
