China RFC

Just reurned from the China RFC held in Sanya on Hainan Island. This is China's most southern state and is off the coast of Vietnam.

I would like to thank Luis JA Wee (founder of RFC in Malaysia) for the kind invitation to attend. We were also joined by several other Officials on the flight from KL. Luis also had flown in all the SS Marshals led by Jacky Toh several days before we arrived. Their main job was to construct all the SS before the start of the China RFC.

I think we all learned a lot during the event in regards to safety, SS set up & running the SS. I look forward to the possible changes to this years RFC in Malaysia.

The standard of the vehicles has improved since the first China RFC 3 years ago. There were some very nice Chinese trucks that looked like trucks and of course a good few buggy type vehicles.

Some of the best prepared vehicles were the ones from Borneo, this was the first time I had seen these vehicles and was very impressed with the way that they were built and presented.

To all the Chinese & Malaysian officials, thanks guys, I had a lot of fun.

To all the Competitors, thank you for actively doing the best that you could to fix any problems that we were corcerned about at scrutineering. As an Official I and the others were there to assist in anyway possible and to make it fair for everyone. Again thanks.

To the young ladies from the staff that made sure we were fed and had all that we required, thanks, you made it a very pleasant stay.

Thanks to one of the best Press Groups that I have had to share a camp with, it was fun when ever you lot were around, you all better be at Mother RFC.

I will post some photos up here next week, but until then go to my Facebook page and have a look at "Faces of China RFC'

Take care all, until next time.
